Snap the scorebook.AI does the rest.

- It reads every box.Hits, walks, strikeouts, F8, 6-3, who scored and who drove them in, plus outs and runners on for every at-bat. It knows 16-inch: the 10th fielder, EH and all.
- It checks its own work.Names match your roster by name and number. Totals are checked against the line score. Anything smudged comes back flagged for a quick tap.
- Confirm and publish.Tap through anything flagged, publish, and every player's stats, splits and season update. No typing in a box score.
The stats the pros use.For your Saturday league.
Batting average only tells part of it. ChicagoBall computes the advanced numbers big-league front offices use, measured against that season's league-wide average, so a big year in a high-scoring season and one in a low-scoring season compare fairly. The big amateur apps don't offer them, at any price.
Situational splits come from games with at-bat detail (AI-read scorebooks and the archive), which know the outs and runners for every at-bat.
Your league is live before first pitch.
Works like an app. Because it is one.
Good questions.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Directors, managers, players and fans all use ChicagoBall free: no fan subscription to see your own stats.
Do my players need to download anything?
No. It's a website that works like an app: open it in Safari or Chrome, and add it to the Home Screen if you like.
How does the AI read a scorebook?
It reads the photos with Claude, Anthropic's AI model: every box, the notation, outs, runners and runs. It matches names to your roster and checks totals against the line score. Anything it isn't sure of comes back to you to confirm before anything is published.
Where do the advanced stats come from?
From the box scores. Each season gets its own baseline from every game played that year (on-base, slugging and runs per plate appearance), so wRC+, OPS+ and batting WAR show how far above or below average you were. WAR here is batting only.
Who can enter scores?
League and tournament directors, team managers, co-managers and scorekeepers. Any manager in a league can post any of that league's scores, so the first one done posts it.
Can we bring our old seasons?
Yes. Send us your QuickScores pages or a spreadsheet and we'll bring the games, teams and results in. Years of Chicago softball history are already here.
How do you keep kids' info safe?
Players on high school teams are treated as minors: stats show, but photos, social links, clips and story images wait for a parent's approval, and their pages are kept out of search engines.
What stops someone from claiming my player page?
Your team's manager confirms every claim, and you can report a wrong one. The page locks until it's sorted out.
Give your leaguethe big-league treatment.
