Windy City wins 2009 Westchester TOC

WESTCHESTER, IL - Windy City won the 2009 Westchester Tournament of Champions, repeating as champions of the tournament. Last year Windy City went undefeated but this year was not as easy as Windy City had to come back from the Consolation bracket to beat Flashback twice in a row after losing to them the previous day. Flashback finished 2nd, Iron finished in 3rd, Young Guns finished in 4th, Avalanche and the Forty-Fives finished tied for 5th and Roadrunners and Thunder finished tied for 7th.

Flashback and Iron finished Saturday as the two unbeaten teams remaining. Flashback beat Windy City by 1 run and Iron beat the Forty-Fives by 1 run in the semi-finals. Flashback beat Iron in the third place game and then lost to Windy City twice each time by 1 run in one of the closest fought tournament in the recent past.

Joe Caputo of Windy City was named the Tournament MVP.
