Westchester League filling up quickly.

WESTCHESTER, IL - The 2006 Westchester League of Champions is expanding to accomodate up to 14 or 16 teams, with only 7 of the 9 teams from last year said to be returning.

Of last years teams, Binge, Outsides, Rebels, Jynx, Jelly, Out There and Finger Licking Good are returning. Sage is reportedly not entering a team and Rolling Dice has yet to decide but has until January 1st to make a decision.

The new teams entering the league are Lugnuts, Lemonheads, Mudville, Flash and Woodpeckers. The current teams in the league will make the final decision to add either 2 or 4 more teams to expand to 14 or 16 respectively. Other interested teams include the Rockets, Bucketheads, Impact, Hype, and Steel Gold.

With a 14 team league, there will be 2 Divisions and a 19 game schedule. Each team will play each other team the first 13 games and then the league will be broken down into two divisions. Each team will then play all the other teams in the same division. The payout for each win in the first round of 13 games is $100 per win. The payout for the 2nd round of 6 games for the top division will be $200 and for the bottom division will be $150. The total potential earnings for an undefeated season is $2,500.
